Senator Coghill moved that the bill be returned to second reading for all amendments offered today. Without objection, the bill was returned to second reading. 2014-04-07 Senate Journal Page 2300 Senator Wielechowski offered Amendment No. 1 : Page 78, following line 5: Insert a new subsection to read: "(n) The sum of $1,000,000,000 is appropriated from the budget reserve fund (AS 37.05.540) to the Alaska permanent fund (art. IX, sec. 15, Constitution of the State of Alaska)." Senator Wielechowski moved for the adoption of Amendment No. 1. Senator Fairclough objected. The question being: "Shall Amendment No. 1 be adopted?" The roll was taken with the following result: SCS CSHB 266(FIN) Second Reading Amendment No. 1 YEAS: 4 NAYS: 16 EXCUSED: 0 ABSENT: 0 Yeas: Ellis, French, Gardner, Wielechowski Nays: Bishop, Coghill, Dunleavy, Dyson, Egan, Fairclough, Giessel, Hoffman, Huggins, Kelly, McGuire, Meyer, Micciche, Olson, Stedman, Stevens and so, Amendment No. 1 failed. Senators Ellis offered Amendment No. 2 : Page 78, line 6, following "FUNDING.": Insert "(a)" Page 78, following line 9: Insert new subsections to read: "(b) The sum of $1,881,370,000 is appropriated from the budget reserve fund (AS 37.05.540) to the Department of Administration for deposit in the defined benefit plan account in the public employees' retirement system as an additional state contribution for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2015. (c) The sum of $1,118,630,000 is appropriated from the budget reserve fund (AS 37.05.540) to the Department of Administration for 2014-04-07 Senate Journal Page 2301 deposit in the defined benefit plan account in the teachers' retirement system as an additional state contribution for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2015." Senator Ellis moved for the adoption of Amendment No. 2. Senator Coghill objected. Senators Wielechowski, French, Gardner moved and asked unanimous consent to be shown as cosponsors on the amendment. Without objection, it was so ordered. The question being: "Shall Amendment No. 2 be adopted?"
